The experience of grief can be as shocking, as painful, and as disorienting as losing a part of one’s body, a part of one’s very self. The experience can be so devastating and surreal that it’s hard to find the words to express what you’re going through, and to find those who can truly understand and validate how you feel.
The ministry of Consolation and Hope would like to invite those who have been touched by the devastating power of grief to participate in a bereavement peer support group – which provides a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment where you can process your grief in the midst of those who can truly relate to what you’re going through.
The bereavement group consists of guided discussions on various topics with the opportunity for open and honest sharing; or the opportunity to simple listen if one prefers.
It will consist of 6 Monday night sessions on the following dates: April 1, April 15, April 29, May 13, May 27, and June 10. Sessions will take place in the sacristy and will run from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
We hope you can join us.
