Charismatic Prayer Group Ministry

United in faith, hope and love, the Charismatic Prayer Group comes together every Monday in fellowship for praise and worship of God, for sound Catholic teaching, and to support one another through intercession and the laying on of hands for spiritual, physical or emotional healing.

Every fall for nine weeks, they conduct a Life in the Spirit Seminar to help persons experience a personal Pentecost for renewal and to pray for an outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  As charismatic Christians they use the gifts of the Spirit in support of one another, in prayer, friendship, instruction, counsel, encouragement, healing, and in evangelization.

In doing so they are following Pope Francis' desire for the Church as expressed to 52,000 people in Rome's Olympic Stadium:  "You, the Charismatic Renewal, have received a great gift from the Lord. You were born of the will of the Spirit as a current of grace in the Church and for the Church. This is your definition: a current of grace."

The format for the Charismatic Prayer group meetings is as follows:

7:15 pm - Holy Rosary;

7:30 pm - Praise & Worship with Music Ministry;

8:00 pm - Various Activities including Talks, Lectio Divina, Teaching and Sharing

The Charismatic Prayer Group meets every Monday in our parish hall. For additional information on this group, please contact:  Adela Griffiths at 905-821-7401. Their spiritual advisor is Deacon Brian du Quesnay.
